The Northwest Arkansas Metropolitan Fire Chiefs Association (NWAFCA) was formed in 1987 by Fire Chiefs Ken Riley (Rogers), Dan White (Springdale), and Mickey Jackson (Fayetteville) to help regionalize emergency response efforts in the growing Northwest Arkansas region. The NWAFCA is a 501(c)3 non profit organization.
The Northwest Arkansas Metropolitan Fire Chiefs’ Association brings together professional Fire and EMS organizations across the entire Northwest Region of Arkansas. The purpose of this organization is to serve our citizens and visitors and provide the following.
- Coordinate and assist in the response to all hazards in Benton, Washington, Madison, Crawford, Carroll, and Sebastian Counties;
- Develop and manage regional response to technical rescue incidents;
- Consider certain other issues, pertinent to the safety of the citizens of the member counties from an emergency response, preparedness, training, or related standpoint, which might be effectively impacted by action of the association.
